Acura will offer the ZDX A-Spec in both single-motor (rear-wheel drive) and dual-motor (all-wheel drive) configurations. The 2024 ZDX A-Spec is expected to start at around $60,000. The ZDX Type S, the most powerful and best-performing Acura SUV, will feature a performance-tuned dual-motor AWD powertrain and is estimated to start in the $70,000 range. Sales for all Acura ZDX models will be conducted via a new omni-channel digital sales process, aiming to provide a seamless and intuitive shopping experience online or at an Acura dealership. Pre-sale activities for the ZDX will commence later this year, with first client deliveries planned for early 2024. Design and Technology
The exterior and interior design of the ZDX was led by a team at the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles, presenting Acura’s latest design direction showcased in the Acura Precision EV Concept from the previous year’s Monterey Car Week. With a sleek silhouette, long wheelbase, and high contrast surfacing, the ZDX embodies Acura’s dedication to performance from every angle. Notable design elements include Acura’s signature front fascia, Chicane DRLs, Jewel Eye™ LED headlights, and the Diamond Pentagon with 3-D embossed diamond pattern and illuminated surround.
“As Acura ventures into an electrifying future, we will continue to push the boundaries of design and proportions in our products, taking advantage of the creative freedom EVs offer,” stated Dave Marek, Acura Executive Creative Director. “Embracing this creative liberty, our team was energized in crafting the ZDX, Acura’s contemporary expression of performance.”
Introducing the all-new Acura color – Double Apex Blue Pearl, the ZDX Type S adds a touch of uniqueness, also previewed on the Acura Precision EV Concept. Additionally, the ZDX will be offered in the Type S signature Tiger Eye Pearl, also available on other Acura Type S models.

Inside the ZDX, the driver-centric cockpit features premium materials, advanced features, and extensive intuitive technologies, including Acura’s first integration of Google built-in for seamless connectivity on the go. Standard across the ZDX lineup, apps like Google Assistant and Google Maps, along with other Google Play features, enhance the driving experience with personalized connectivity.
The ZDX offers a total of 22 inches of high-definition digital screens, featuring a standard Precision Cockpit Driver Information Cluster (11 inches) and Center Information Screen (11.3 inches) with a user-friendly touchscreen interface and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. With the Google built-in system, Google Maps can be displayed on either screen, offering advanced route planning and charging station recommendations for optimized travel time. Google Maps can also estimate the required charging time to reach the destination and can initiate battery preconditioning when the destination is a DC Fast charging station, reducing charge times for a quicker return to the road.
As the first Acura model to feature Bang & Olufsen luxury audio, the ZDX boasts an immersive audio experience tailored for the tech-rich cabin of the all-electric SUV. All-Electric Acura Performance
Built on a cutting-edge electric vehicle platform with a versatile battery layout, low center of gravity, and near-equal weight distribution, the all-electric ZDX expands Acura’s range of premium, high-performance SUVs. The ZDX A-Spec is powered by a rear-mounted single-motor generating an estimated 340 horsepower, also available in a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup. Acura engineers have finely tuned ZDX’s multi-link front and rear suspension to deliver a premium driving experience with outstanding performance and refinement.
Similar to other high-performance Acura Type S models, the ZDX Type S enhances every aspect of the driving experience, including acceleration, braking, and handling, without compromising comfort, refinement, or daily usability. The ZDX Type S sets the standard for Acura performance in the electric age, boasting an estimated 500 horsepower, an adjustable air suspension, performance-tuned adaptive dampers, and 15.6-inch Brembo™ front brakes with striking 6-piston yellow calipers. Drivers can customize their driving experience with various drive modes, including a Sport mode for maximum responsiveness and acceleration.
The athletic proportions and stance of the ZDX are complemented in the Type S variant by 22-inch machine-finished wheels, the largest ever on an Acura model, and wider 275/40ZR22 self-sealing tires. Optional high-performance summer tires, paired with gloss-black wheels, further enhance the Type S’s performance capabilities.
Recharging is quick and convenient with DC Fast Charging offering rates up to 190 kW. With DC Fast Charging, the 102-kWh lithium-ion battery pack in the ZDX A-Spec rear-wheel drive can gain an estimated 81 miles of range in approximately 10 minutes.
Bang & Olufsen Luxury Audio Experience
A long-standing name in advanced audio technology, Acura’s collaboration with Bang & Olufsen, the Danish luxury audio brand, will elevate the in-vehicle audio experience of the new 2024 Acura ZDX and all Acura models in the upcoming years.
The ZDX and ZDX Type S will incorporate Bang & Olufsen’s latest 3D Sound Control, exclusive Beosonic feature, and Acoustic Lens Technology. With Bang & Olufsen’s Beosonic one-touch sound control interface, Acura customers can personalize their in-car audio experience with four unique audio moods: Bright, Energetic, Warm, and Relaxed. The proprietary Acoustic Lens Technology from Bang & Olufsen delivers uniform high-frequency dispersion horizontally and limits vertical reflections, enhancing spatial perception and realism for all passengers, enabling them to hear every sound and note with clarity.
Brushed aluminum speaker grilles featuring the Bang & Olufsen logo further enrich the premium interior design of the ZDX.
Convenient Charging Solutions
The ZDX offers comprehensive home and public charging solutions that are best-in-class. Acura simplifies the process of selecting, ordering, and installing a home charger through the Acura Home Electrification (Acura HE) online marketplace. Acura HE connects ZDX clients with trusted local installers guided by Expert Energy Advisors, who assist in selecting the ideal home charging solution. Further details on ordering and installing Acura home energy solutions can be found at Acura Home Electrification.
For on-the-go charging, ZDX owners can use the Acura Smartphone App to locate and connect to charging stations nationwide, accessing over 90% of existing DC Fast Charge networks. Seamless payment integration allows clients to process all payments through the Acura App at supported charging stations.
In addition, as part of a collaborative effort between seven major automakers, Acura EV owners will have access to a leading high-speed, brand-neutral charging network in the U.S. and Canada starting in 2024. This new high-power charging network will provide an enhanced client experience, offering convenient urban and highway charging locations, accessible to all electric vehicles from any manufacturer. With plans to establish at least 30,000 high-powered charge points by 2030, this network aims to be one of the largest in the U.S. and Canada. The initial stations are slated to open in the U.S. by the summer of 2024, with Canada following at a later date, facilitating easier long-distance travel for clients.
