Jozef Kabaň attended the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia, where he studied product and industrial design. He then went on to earn a Master of Arts in automotive design from the Royal College of Art in London, UK, in the year 1997. In 2019, he was honored with the title Dr. h. c. Throughout his career, Kabaň has been associated with notable projects, including contributing to the design of the iconic Bugatti Veyron. In 2003, he joined Audi as the head of exterior design, before eventually becoming the Head of Design at ŜKODA from 2008 to 2017. Following a stint as a chief designer at other vehicle brands, Kabaň returned to the Volkswagen brand in 2020 in the role of Chief Designer.
