GM Defense Partners with Mistral Inc. to Boost Tactical Capability

WASHINGTON, D.C. — GM Defense, a division of General Motors, and Mistral Inc., a provider of cutting-edge solutions for U.S. defense and federal agencies, have joined forces to integrate UVision technology with Mistral’s Hero-120 munition onto GM Defense’s light tactical utility vehicle. This collaboration brings together GM Defense’s military mobility expertise with Mistral and UVision’s advanced munition technology to meet the evolving needs of modern forces.
The GM Defense utility vehicle, based on the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, incorporates a significant number of off-the-shelf parts, including Chevrolet Performance components for improved off-road capabilities. The vehicle offers various seating configurations to accommodate different requirements and features a cargo bed at the back for housing Mistral and UVision’s solutions or supporting a range of tactical operations.

The Hero-120 munition system, designed to engage enemy targets without direct soldier exposure, is versatile in its targeting capabilities, able to strike armored vehicles, enemy troops, fortifications, and structures with precision while minimizing collateral damage.
