Munich. The BMW Group has announced a change in leadership for the MINI brand. Effective August 1, 2024, Stefan Richmann will assume the role of managing MINI, taking over from Stefanie Wurst, who has been in this position since February 1, 2022.
Recently, Stefanie Wurst has successfully guided the British premium brand MINI towards new markets, target groups, and a focus on electric mobility and digitalization. She has transformed the international MINI sales organization into a sustainable and customer-centric model and played a key role in the gradual implementation of MINI direct sales in China and Europe.
Building on the strong heritage of the MINI brand while repositioning it for the future, Wurst has overseen the launch of the New MINI Family, a highlight in the 65-year history of the brand. The MINI Cooper*, MINI Aceman*, and MINI Countryman*, representing digital product and service offerings, electrification, and MINI’s iconic go-kart driving experience, showcase the brand’s evolution.
Jochen Goller, a member of the BMW AG Board of Management responsible for Customer, Brands, Sales, expressed gratitude to Stefanie Wurst for her dedication and valuable contributions to MINI’s future direction. Stefan Richmann, a senior executive within the BMW Group with extensive experience nationally and internationally, will assume leadership of the MINI brand starting in August.
