The 2019 ILX makes its way to dealerships starting October 10 with a bold new look that gives Acura’s gateway sedan a more dynamic and refined appearance, featuring the brand’s signature Diamond Pentagon grille. The 2019 ILX also receives upgraded technology and luxurious cabin appointments, along with an updated A-Spec sport appearance option and standard AcuraWatch™ technology.
The redesigned 2019 ILX, offered in Premium, Technology, and A-Spec packages, has a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $25,900 (excluding $995 destination and handling), marking a $2,200 decrease from the previous model. At the top end, the 2019 ILX A-Spec with Technology Package now starts at just $31,550, a reduction of $3,550 from the 2018 model.
“The primary goal of the ILX is to attract new buyers to the brand, and our product and pricing strategies are aligned with that objective,” said Jon Ikeda, Acura vice president & general manager. “We believe the design and technology enhancements, coupled with competitive pricing, will solidify the ILX’s position as the starting point for the Acura lineup and as a segment leader in attracting millennial customers.”
Having the highest share of millennial buyers in the premium compact sedan segment, the 2019 ILX introduces more premium and sporty cabin features, along with an advanced dual-screen user interface with updated graphics, and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ integration. All ILX models are powered by a sporty 201-horsepower, 2.4-liter, 16-valve DOHC i-VTEC™ engine paired with an 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission.
