The grand opening of the new American Honda Collection Hall took place today in the sunny state of Southern California. This hall showcases over 60 historic and notable Honda and Acura vehicles, motorcycles, power equipment, race machines, engines, and concept models, along with captivating images, graphics, and video presentations. These products capture the evolution and achievements of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. since its inception in 1959, marking the establishment of the first Honda company outside Japan.
Local leaders, Honda officials, employees, and retirees gathered for the inauguration of the 20,000-square-foot display connected to the main lobby of the American Honda headquarters in Torrance, California.

During scheduled public “Cars, Bikes & Coffee” events, the American Honda Collection Hall welcomes visitors free of charge, honoring Honda’s unique impact on American lives and highlighting key milestones in the brand’s history in the U.S.

Cars
1970 Honda N600 Coupe – The inaugural Honda vehicle sold in the U.S. featured a 600cc 2-cylinder air-cooled engine and was priced at a mere $1,395.
1975 Honda Civic CVCC Hatchback – The first car to meet the emission norms of the 1970 U.S. Clean Air Act without a catalytic converter.
