At the beginning of the season, a Dutch driver from the GP Elite team made a successful switch from single-seater racing to the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the German one-make cup. Kas Haverkort secured a victory in Budapest, finishing ahead of Theo Oeverhaus from Bonk Motorsport and Robert de Haan from Team75 Bernhard, both compatriots from the Netherlands.
During the race, Haverkort managed to build a lead of almost three seconds after starting from pole position. Despite a brief scare when his left wheels locked up, causing a slide, he quickly recovered and maintained his lead.
