GTI performance: The engine is the heart of the Golf GTI, and it has received a boost in power. The latest iteration of its turbocharged engine now produces a peak torque of 370 Nm that is sent to the front axle through an electronic differential lock, kicking in from just 1,600 rpm. This increased power is available up to 4,590 rpm, widening the range in which it can be utilized. The GTI engine delivers its maximum output of 195 kW / 265 PS between 5,250 and 6,500 rpm. A swift seven-speed DSG transmission ensures seamless power delivery with minimal loss of traction during gear shifts.
Drivers can manually shift gears using the paddles on the multi-function steering wheel. The Golf GTI accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, marking the first time it achieves this in under six seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
GTI design: Volkswagen has enhanced the appearance of this iconic vehicle. The front end has been restyled, now featuring new LED Plus headlights that, together with the illuminated Volkswagen badge, create a striking lighting signature. Customers can also choose the latest IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, providing a powerful high beam with 15% more coverage than its predecessor. The Golf GTI rolls out of the Wolfsburg factory equipped with 17-inch Richmond alloy wheels as standard. Alternatively, buyers can opt for the new 19-inch Queenstown3 alloy wheel, showcasing a distinctive design reminiscent of the classic Detroit wheel introduced on the fifth-generation Golf GTI. The LED tail lights have also been redesigned. Even without the GTI badging, the Golf GTI is easily identifiable by its twin-pipe exhaust system, featuring chrome-plated tailpipes on both sides of the vehicle.
