Volkswagen unveiled a sneak peek of the upcoming ID.7 model with a camouflaged concept vehicle at the CES in Las Vegas, the world’s largest consumer electronics show. Kai Grünitz, a Member of the Brand Board of Management in charge of Development, stated, “The ID.7 emphasizes our commitment to providing smart technologies and customer-centric innovations in the premium mid-size segment.”
“Smart air vents” with rapid response and fan-like function
The ID.7 has the ability to turn on the air conditioning even before passengers enter the vehicle, ensuring that the interior is cooled during hot weather and heated in colder conditions. In situations where the door is opened in high outside temperatures, intelligent air vents within the cockpit disperse air efficiently across a wide area through dynamic horizontal movements. Once passengers are settled, the air flow can be adjusted to suit individual preferences, directing airflow towards the body or circulating it throughout the interior. This marks the first implementation of such an advanced control system in a Volkswagen model.
Emphasis on user-friendly operation

The climate control feature is conveniently located on the top level of the new 38-centimetre (15-inch) infotainment display in the ID.7. This ensures that it remains visible and easily accessible with just a tap of a finger. Through a user-friendly air conditioning menu, all smart air vents can be digitally managed at their outlets, allowing for customizable adjustments to the strength and direction of air flow. Temperature control is made simple with touch sliders that are backlit for clear visibility.
